November 17 was the day....
Mum's Surprise 70th Birthday....and SURPRISE her we did. It fell on a Saturday this year so that helped. It is extremely hard for us to keep anything from Mum but we managed a wonderful surprise. We gathered about 50 family and friends in Ipswich, even her sister from Melbourne. You see, it makes it even harder because we all work together on a daily basis in the family business. Mum doesn't work and only visits each week, so it was a task to make sure no-one dropped the bomb.
Mum loves flowers and has one of the best garden in Ipswich, so the room was decorated in flowers and pink everything.
I was inspired by a card I saw by the one and only super talented, Teneale Williams, for the invitations and made party favours with the new petite purse die.
Stamp Sets- Papaya Collage, Elementary Elegance SAB2012, French Foliage, Vintage Jumbo Wheel
Cardstock and ink- Primrose petals, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Old Olive
Accessories- Crumb Cake Tulle, Pearls, Victoria Lace
Tools- XL oval punch, Emboss folders- polka dots & designer frames, sewing machine
The little petite purse party favours.....crazy to make 55 of these... but aren't they so cute. I filled them with Ernest Hillier chocolates but only three chocolates fitted. They were larger than normal ones......hahaha
We held it at the Metro Ipswich International Hotel, a beautiful 3 course dinner and a magician. It was fabulous and Mum enjoyed herself immensely.
A marvellous memory.....
