Have a great weekend...I finally get a weekend off with both of my darling daughters.... and a chance for a SLEEP IN......YEAY!!!!!

Howdy Partners!!!!

AND THE MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL........

ALLANNA's 21st

It's Allanna's 21st birthday soon....she is my baby but she's all grown up now....kind of makes you feel really old (for a second...LOL)
Her birthday is 18 July and she is having a Wild West party, complete with bales of hay, fire pit, BBQ and photo booth, all in my small backyard. That should be fun???? In Ipswich in July it's usually about 0-4 degrees at night (brass monkey weather) They can all wear their jeans and jackets to dress up and keep warm too. All the great photos will follow later.

I went to extra attention for her invites. Lots of sponging and tearing. You can't really see that the star is sprayed with champagne shimmer mist - very sparkly. I confused everyone by folding the card and tucking the front under the right hand edge-embellished with the eyelets and leather....that even sounds confusing to right but my fellow stampers know what i mean....lol

Stamps: Bronc Buster, sanded background
Cardstock and ink: Crumb cake, ridinghood red, early espresso, gold, Checked paper(Karen Foster designs)
Accessories: jumbo eyelets, leather
Tools: cricut machine, cutter kit, crop-o-dile, sponges and daubers, champagne shimmer mist, dimensionals

Back to party planning...
Maybe I can fit in some stamping too :)

More Parties!! More Invites!!

Everyone should relate to this one.....

In our house it is the year for 21st birthday parties again....
We had this happen in 2009 with my eldest daughter, Karlee and all of her friends, now it's Allanna's turn in 2011 .These invitations are for Allanna's boyfirend, Aaron's 21st and his sister Brittany's 18th birthday party. Their birthdays are only a week apart, so it's a double celebration.

So my idea was to have an invitation that opened up.....Aaron on one side and Brittany on the other and all the information in the middle.
Aaron is first born and a BOY so he gets the crown and Brittany is a glitzy girl so she gets the bows and bling.

The front is just classy and simple...What do you think???
Colours are Pacific blue and Melon mambo, black, white and silver.

And the next set is the most important......

100 Invitations!!!!

Hi Everyone.... I have mentioned that I have been busy lately....not just with my real job but I have been making invitations. It seems they have all arrived at once.

The first ones were for a wedding...
I received a quite 'random' phone call from a couple about 4 weeks ago to make them 100 wedding invitations for their 400 guests.
You see.....I didn't know them but they found out about me, through a friend of a friend of my cousin's wife.....how about that!
These invites had some stamping, some printing and lots of cutting out...but they were thrilled with the end result.

This is the inside of the invite. It was a three fold card. The sunset scene on the card front is a photo of a painting...it is NOT stamped. The M & T were cut out on my cricut machine. Such beautiful colours for an island wedding....don't you think.
Moli and Toru loved their invitations and I know Moli will make a beautiful bride on the beach at sunset.

Now for the next ones.

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #73

Good evening all........I have missed a few challenges of late due to my very busy work schedule....sorry. I hope you didn't miss me too much....LOL
We are installing new computers at work, which is not my problem - my sister Leisa does all that - but it has made extra work for the rest of us and a few more headaches then usual.

To save me time, for this weeks challenge I made my nephew Joshua's birthday card for Sketch Challenge #73. Joshua is dirt bike mad and he rides a Kawasaki, so it has to be green.
I really loved the way this sketch challenge worked with the designer black DSP and the dirt bike stamp from Kazzazz. I have covered the bike plastics with crystal effects to make it shiny and 'pop'. Josh will love it....

Stamps: On Your Birthday, Dirt bike (Kazzazz)
Cardstock and Ink: Wild wasabi, going gray, basic gray, green galore, black and white
Accessories: Black white stitched ribbon and black brads

I will be back tomorrow with some more news on the invites I have been making.
Hope you are all well and happy :)
