Hot Off The Table!

Hi Stampers...Up late as usual. Just finished cleaning the kitchen and hanging the clothes up. A working mum's chores are at all hours of the night...LOL
But I did get a little stamping done while I was waiting for everything to finish and I just thought I would share it tonight.

Morning Cup Step Card. The Step Card pattern was given to me by my customer and friend, Shirley. She is 80 years old and makes the most beautiful cards. She doesn't stamp much because she is getting a bit shaky now and hates when things aren't perfect, but she loves our SU punches.

I always have a bit of hesitation with the brighter colours so I challenged myself to make this one based on the colours in the Sunny Garden DSP.
Still not sure if I like it???? more a look, it's growing on me.

Sorry my watermark has covered the two Daffodil delight brads that are in the lower right hand corner on the card. I will have to ask my daughter, Karlee, for some help to make it more transparent?? I think that's what I mean...

MORNING CUP STEP CARD
Cardstock and Ink: pear pizzazz, peach parfait, daffodil delight, poppy parade, whisper white and watercolour paper
Paper: Sunny Garden DSP
Stamp: Morning Cup, rough type alphabet( ur)
Accessories: daffodil delight brads, dimensionals
Tools: 2 3/8" scallop circle, 1 3/4" circle, paper piercer, scallop edge

Thanks for stopping by. Must go to bed now. Have to get up at 5am for work.
Happy Stamping everyone

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #63

Hi There Stampers.....It's challenge time again. This week I have made an A5 size card because any smaller just wouldn't have worked well with the sketch and stamp set. I chose the "Sense of Time" stamp set and grunged it up. I have a LOVE of the vintage/grunge look....LOL
It really was a simple card to make, just cardstock and paper, and lots of sponging.

I used Sahara Sand DSP(spots, stripes and patterned), sorry the photo doesn't show them very well. I stamped the images on to the DSP, crinkled it up, straightened it back out , sponged and finally spritzed over at the end. It was messy but loads of fun to make.

SENSE OF TIME VINTAGE CARD
Stamp: Sense of Time
Cardstock and Ink: Sahara Sand and Soft Suede
Paper: Sahara Sand DSP from Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories: Vintage Brads and Antique Brass Brads and dimensionals
Tools: cutter kit, spritzer, sponges and daubers

Thanks for visiting my Inkspiration's challenge entry

Just a little Project

Hi Everyone....Hope you had a great weekend.
I have been busy catching up with my Mum, Maureen. I am always busy on the weekends, if it's not work ...it's stamping or the dreaded housework. Mum doesn't work anymore but Dad and her often go to their house at the Gold Coast on their spare weekends. So on Saturday I took Mum out for lunch and it was great to talk about everything that's been happening away from our work. Sometimes you just need that time with your Mum.....

Just thought i would share a little project I did the other night. I covered and decorated a little set of Kaiser drawers. I used the Urban range of DSP from last year....I love these colours, they match my house perfectly and my favorite colour "Old Olive". Not sure what I will put in them yet.....that's why the name plates are blank.....LOL

I didn't get any crafting done this weekend, as I had to wash cloths, clean house, mow the lawn and clean up the gardens. I have palm trees that have fruit pods on at the moment and the bats are loving them....They are the messiest, smelliest creatures ever. I can't reach the pods at the top of the palms to cut them down.....AHHHH
Maybe I will get to craft tomorrow.

Have a great week and I'll be back soon with this weeks challenge.

Inkspiration Colour Challenge #62

Hi Everyone.... How has your weekend been? I had to work today but finished early at 1.30pm because it's raining again in Ipswich, just in time for Prince William's official visit today.Hope he didn't get to wet....It didn't both me though, I got to stamp this afternoon - couldn't do the gardening haha.

I've done this weeks challenge already....Yeay.

I love this technique using the Square lattice emboss folder. Just punching out shapes and sticking them down with adhesive paper and then rolling them thru the Big Shot. It creates the most gorgeous texture. Love these colours together too.
CIRCLE EMBOSS CARD
Cardstock & Ink: whisper white, daffodil delight, regal rose and early espresso
Stamp: Riveting (retired)
Accessories: metal edge tag, white string, regal rose ribbon, early espresso striped ribbon
Tools: various circle punches, big shot, square lattice emboss, hole punch.

Now back to my stamp room....I have started to make a Kaiser wall frame using the Love letters DSP. I'll show you soon. But I have to make some more cards first.

Hope you have a great week

A BLOG AWARD FOR ME!!!!

Wow!! What a wonderful surprise today. I have seen awards being passed around but never thought I would receive one...YEAY!!

Inkspirations Design Team Member, Helen Heil, has awarded my blog the LIEBSTER BLOG AWARD. Please check out this talented designer by clicking on her name.

Thank you so much Helen for this award. I have been joining the Inkspiration Challenges lately and I'm thrilled that Helen thought of me when she was passing this award on.

I joined Stampin'Up in Oct 2006. I have had my blog now for a year and I'm always thrilled when I see that someone has stopped by....especially if they have left some comment love. Thanks Helen for your lovely encouraging comments you have left in recent weeks.
Now I will explain the Liebster Blog as Helen explained to me.....

The Liebster Blog, which translate from German, into 'Dearest Blog' is designed to bring attention to new blogs, or blogs with fewer than 300 followers. Now I must pass this on to 3 talented Stamper blogs that I admire. These ladies probably don't know me but they have been an inspiration to me for along time now. So here goes....

1. Marelle Taylor - thINKspot - www.marelletaylor.com/

2. Stephanie Pike - www.stampingwithsteph.com.au/

3. Petronela Hardy - www.keepstamping.com/

These ladies are all extremely talented. It is my pleasure to pass this award on to them. Please keep these ladies in your favourites and follow them too.

Have a great weekend

Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #59

Hi Everyone.... WOW! this week is just flying by. My work is always very busy at the beginning of the month and in the first week of each month (in my stamping world), I have my downline meeting and my first stamp club....not to mention Sale-A-Bration at the moment...It's enough to make my head spin......
Now back to the important stuff....
Here is this weeks Inkspiration Sketch Challenge #59. I decided to use the 'Baby Bundle' stamp set. I've had it for awhile and haven't had time to use it . The background is using the 'Wax Resist Technique' that featured on Splitcoaststampers a few weeks ago. I'm teaching this at my Stamp Club's this month. Hope the girls enjoy it - it does involve ironing...LOL

Just thought I would be a bit creative and show you the dimension I have used on the card.
I re-stamped the pram and heart image and cut it out to add more dimension. I have embossed the images because they looked better embossed on the glossy card stock.

BABY BUNDLE WAX RESIST CARD
Stamp Set: Baby Bundle
Cardstock and Ink: Chocolate chip, Blushing Bride, glossy white
Markers to colour: blushing bride, chocolate chip, crumb cake, soft suede, peach parfait, daffodil delight, regal rose, pear pizzazz, basic gray
Chocolate chip ribbon, dimensionals, black emboss powder, glue dots
Tools: 1" circle punch, 3/4" circle punch, eyelet border, heat gun, brayer, word window punch

Hope you enjoy your day...be back soon

Love Suzie xoxo
