It's BABY TIME....

Oh No Not Me..........

My cousin Michael and his lovely wife, Tammy, are expecting their first child in December, so I was thrilled when Tammy asked me to make the invitations. I had lots of help making the 50 invites she needed. Tammy, Aunty Wilma, Karlee and Allanna and I made them all in a few hours.
What a huge effort......It was like taking a class....but the pattern and sample where in my head...lol
It is a classic baby-jump suit pattern that i cased off Splitcoaststampers ages ago, but it looks so cute. They know they are expecting a boy so that made it extra easy.

Now I have 50 thank-you cards to make and then the present....Thats a big surprise for Tammy, but I will share it with you people a little closer to the day.

Cardstock and inks: White,Bashful Blue and Barely Banana, watercolour paper and stazon ink
Stamp: Bundle of Joy
Tools: Polka dot emboss folder, 1 1/4" punch, 1 3/8" punch, 1/4" punch, aquapainter, black marker
Accessories: brads, dimensionals

Happy Stamping

Karlee the vampire and some gruesome friends, Joshua(zombie) and Scott(scream)

Little devil Allanna and Beetlejuice Aaron

This is me, Suzanne, the hillbilly and my sisters Leisa and Lynda as glamorous angel and witch. Check out my Billy Bob teeth. I had trouble talking and keeping them in all night....but it was great fun handing out the lolly bags. I told the kids they would get teeth like mine if they ate too many lollies...LOL

WOW...........we can't wait till next year. Halloween was great fun this year. We had a party at my sister Lynda's house and gave out lolly bags to the Trick or Treaters. We all got dressed up and decorated the front yard to make it extra fun.
We had about 200 Trick or Treaters. We only made 180 lolly bags so I guess we will have to make alot more next year.

It's hard to wait another 365 days........

I'll try to be back tomorrow with some stamping.

Love Suzie xoxo

You Have To Try It Once

This has to come under that heading....YOU HAVE TO TRY IT ONCE.

So we did.......

Halloween is starting to be very popular in Australia and we wanted to have a go at Pumpkin Carving. Karlee looked up on the internet to find all the tips and tricks on how to carve them and bought a few patterns....Of course, Karlee did the middle face below as her first one and then moved on to the intricate skull with top hat.......Allanna, Aaron and I did one each.
So what do you think about our first go at Pumpkin Carving....Pretty good hey.
They were a big hit at my sisters Halloween Party and all the Trick or Treaters loved them too.

These are the pictures when they had the tea-light candles turned on in the dark.
Wait till next year....It was so much FUN.

Love Suzie xoxo

It's our excuse to dress up for Halloween......we love the dress up thing. My sister, Lynda lives in a large new estate and last year she had about 100 children knocking on her door for lollies, so this year we will be there to help hand out the lolly bags.
I will post some photos of us later.

I turned the pattern on it's side to create this card. The diamonds and rhinestones on the ornament didn't photograph vey well, it's very sparkly in real life....maybe it's the bad photographer....LOL

I know we needed rain but enough is enough for South East Queensland...Our dams are full and the ground is soggy. Our family Landscape supply business now needs lots of sunny days to keep us busy, busy, busy. These wet days brings everything to a halt.

Another Birthday.....

WOW!!!!!! Time is flying by.... Another one is turning 18.

My darling niece Kaila (my brother Geoff's daughter) is turning 18 this week. Thought I would share the "Kaisercraft" 18 Book that I have decorated for her.
I know she will be thrilled because it is in her favourite colours - pink and black, just like her little Suzuki Swift car.

Turned out sassy and cute just like Kaila.

Cardstock, Pens & Ink: Stampin'Up Regal Rose, Black and White

A Bargello Christmas

While I was waiting patiently for my new supplies to arrive last month...... I thought I would use up some leftovers from last year. The Bargello Technique in the Impressions magazine was all the inspiration I needed.

Just thought I would share this one too....I didn't have a blogspot last year..........
This is the Pumpkin Box from a Splitcoaststampers tutorial I made for the kids. You can find the instructions in the resources at Splitcoaststampers.
The cool Halloween die cuts are from the Slice Machine, my cousin Colleen has one, and she cut all these out for me. I filled it up with toys and chocolates. They loved them.

So I was on the CASE......LOL
A few punches and a bit of ink later and they are complete. These were super easy and sooo much fun. My friends have been making some ready for Halloween. Recruiting Special Dates

Hi Gorgeous Girls........ The dates for the Recruiting Special are different than those posted earlier this month.

Recruiting Special is from September 1 till October 15......so join up now to get all the IN COLOURS FOR FREE.

Love Suzie xoxo

Skulls Crowns and 21

Just another 21st birthday card for one of the girls friends, Mikey T.
Mikey and Allanna played in a punk band together while they were at school so the skull is just perfect for him.
They used to practice at my house and have shaken a few things off the sink and walls...lol. I used to walk around with ear plugs in...they were very loud in my little house. We would keep the doors and windows closed so they didn't annoy the neighbours too much but with drums, amps and two guitars they were LOUD.....lucky no windows broke.
Stamps: Just jawing and Artistic Etchings
Cardstock and ink: Riding hood red, black and white
Accessories: rhinestone on tooth
Tools: sizzix alphabet die
Love Suzie xoxo

Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend

My Gorgeous friend Kate is 50 soon and she had her Hawaiian birthday party on Saturday night. Just thought I would share the card I made her. I used the backside of the embossed image and sponged the colour onto it in a swirling motion so it didn't get into the creases then added lots of diamonds. She loved it.
Stamp set: Fifth Avenue Floral and leaf from Natural beauty
Cardstock and ink: kiwi kiss, pink pirohette, regal rose, whisper white
Accessories: kiwi kiss satin ribbon, rhinestones, dazzling diamonds
Tools: manhattan flower emboss folder, sizzix alphabet dies, 1 3/8" circle punch

We have had Fathers Day too and my DAD loved the tool box filled with lollies and the Rugby League Legends poster that we gave him.
I have had stamping parties and birthday parties and I am still doing some renos around my house.....A Girl must be crazy......I really do need to find a man to help me...LOL

Look at those sexy goggles....LOL
This was last Wednesday night when we decided to take the old tiles off the wall. What great therapy. Nothing like destruction to make you feel totally crazy....LOL
This is Allanna's boyfriend,Aaron, helping me. He had a fun too, but it was frustrating at times because some would come off clean and others would take half the gyprock with them....ARHHHHHH.
We made a few holes in the wall and had to get the plasterer to come and fix them before the new tiles go up on Monday. On Saturday the new benches, sink and appliances were installed. Nearly finished......can't wait......sick of cleaning up sawdust and workers mess.

The girls came to me at 5.30pm on Saturday night and requested just a quick card for there friend Keenan's 18th birthday party. It started at 7pm. Nothing like being organised....NOT.

'Express cards' usually turn out the best ones. It really suited Keenan....lol

It was my birthday on April 14. I turned a very young 45 years...lol and my darling girls, Karlee and Allanna gave me these at work to brighten my day.
